This section proposes different activities to motivate and encourage adult migrant learners to quickly achieve progress in adaptation and language learning. The activities consider the cultural specificities of migrants and the needs within the learning process in the following aspects: strengthening the group dynamics; building up general knowledge on different cultures; fostering work in groups; gaining knowledge about the host country; strengthening diversity training.
The suggested teaching techniques aim to overcome the major discouraging factors identified:
